Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending time with family, especially attending comedy and musical theater shows. When she is not with family, Jenna stays active and loves traveling to new places and experiencing other cultures. One of her favorite parts about visiting a new place is trying new foods. Jenna will try (almost) any food once! One of her more exotic food adventures was trying “Cuy” while on a trip in Peru.
Jenna is passionate about Women’s Health and helping women advocate for their health concerns as they are routinely underserved. She puts a strong emphasis on educating patients, so they can feel empowered to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare.
In 2018, Jenna started volunteering with Special Olympics. She officiated at the North Dakota state track meet for 2 summers. She was also involved with Hope Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing sports and recreation opportunities for people with mobility challenges. With Hope Inc., Jenna helped facilitate track meets and “open gym” for wheelchair basketball and soccer.
In 2019, Jenna worked at the Anne Carlsen Center, a residential medical facility for children. She worked in the medically complex unit and helped in the classrooms as well. Jenna always made a point to spend her day helping the children feel at home. She was also a part of the planning committee for the construction of their new facility and still speaks with one of the children every week.
